1. HDTV is based on the plasma technology where you can see a real image in the picture to get the better quality. It requires calibration for setting up of the picture to get the better quality output. The calibration will help you to manage with the special DVD. You must have to set the calibration based on DVD.
2. Brightness and contrast must be set according to your requirement. Brightness will manage the black level while the contrast manages the white level. Low brightness manages the shadow and low contrast makes it weak. You need to set the calibration through DVD.
3. It is also need to setting up of the colors so that you can see the different images that suit to your need. Setting up of digital signal will set the color or tint as per the need.
4. The color temperature in the HDTV is depends on the types of color setting up by you. The selection of the color based on RGB settings. The color setting can reduce/increase the temperature. The normal temperature is considered to be 6500K.
5. You must have to set the picture according to the pixel count. There are different sizes of pixel in the range of different resolutions.
